Annual Spring Clean Up Saturday April 14th, 2012

Plans are underway for the Annual Clean Up April 14th.  As often as we’d like to have this event closer to Earth Day, its just not practical.  The opening day of fishing is the last Saturday of April and right after that our camper count jumps.  We need to have the park ready for visitors and hikers.

We hope you’ll come out again this year and take part in an important event.  If you want to support Friends and Your park this is the day to do it.  There is always a lot of natural debris to move around and rake up and its just impossible for our rangers to get to all of it.

Last year we were fortunate to have our luncheon was generously hosted by Pat Moffett and graciously hosted by Karen and Ken Speck of Cherie Lindholm Real Estate . During the lunch break Rusell Barsh from Kwaiht presented a lecture about the rough-skinned Newt, which tiee in nicely with the habitat display we are working on in the new Summit History and Science Center.

We’ll let you know what plans and speakers are in the line up for this year. Please feel free to email us with questions.  We’ll look forward to seeing you in April.
