Please join us for our Annual Spring Cleanup, every second Saturday in April. It’s a day filled with raking, scooping, dumping, laughter and a great hot lunch. It’s a great time to renew your membership with Friends of Moran.
Each volunteer vehicle receives a free daily parking pass for the Saturday event. Simply check in with a FOM volunteer to get one.
After the fall and winter storms, sometimes there are a lot of big branches that would be in the way where campers want to put up their tents. Sometimes other debris like rocks have found their way into campsites, and that’s really just not comfortable—no matter how thick your sleeping bag is!
So please consider coming out to help us prepare to ease our campers into their tents for another season—and be dazzled by the natural beauty. It’s a great way to welcome spring and celebrate our state parks.
Then take a well deserved break and enjoy a complimentary hot lunch graciously provided by Karen and Ken Speck, along with Pat Muffett—generous members of our Orcas Island community.
Bring your gloves, rakes, and your friends. We look forward to seeing you at the Cascade Lake Day Use Shelter, just a quarter mile past the north entrance arch.
