Plans are underway for the Annual Clean Up April 13th. This annual event is held the second Saturday of April. Its a day filled with raking, scooping, dumping, laughter and a great lunch. One of the kids asked why the park needs a clean up. Our response is after the fall and winter storms sometimes there are a lot of big branches that would be in the way when a camper wants to put up their tent. Sometimes other debris like rocks have found their way into camp sites and that’s really not comfortable no matter how thick your sleeping bag is!
So come out and help our rangers prepare for another busy camping season and enjoy the park for yourself. Its a great way to welcome spring and celebrate upcoming Earth Day.
If you want to support Friends and Your park this is the day to do it. There is always a lot of natural debris to move around and rake up and its just impossible for our rangers to get to all of it.
We are fortunate and grateful to once again have our luncheon hosted by Pat Moffett and graciously led by Karen and Ken Speck of Cherie Lindholm Real Estate . During the lunch break Rusell Barsh from Kwaiht will present a sceince lecture.
Bring your gloves and rakes, if you have them and we’ll look forward to seeing you in April at the Cascade Lake day use shelter.
