Come visit us! The Summit Gift Shop is open May 15 through the end of September! The view with a brew is on! Step into our rustic little shop and breath in the sweet aroma of coffee with a view. Its our Daily Constitution roasted by Local Goods. Come take in the magnificent view and you’ll find we have our some unique gifts that are hard to find anywhere but in our Summit Shop. Forgot your fleece, your hat or need a journal we have that too. All proceeds benefit the state park-come visit us soon! The new Summit Learning Center is slated to open this May. its a work in progress. The Center is a project we see evolving with time and money. We have a nature shop which will stock different inventory that the gift shop. You’ll see science books and field guides for adults and kids. You’ll see hats, shirts and jacket though they’ll be different that those in the gift shop.

Want to Volunteer? Of course we have to staff the Shop and the Center so why not volunteer! Our mission to raise funds and support the park with volunteer help is wrapped up in a sweet package known as the Summit Gift Shop and now the Summit Learning Center!  If you have a few days and love to meet people from around the world and your back yard then ask us about volunteering.
Both our buildings are open every day 11 am to 4pm from May through November (weekends only starting October 1st and weather permitting).  Staffed everyday by volunteers the gift shop and the nature center are a great funding mechanism for the park projects, especially during these intense budget cuts.
You can choose days that fit your schedule and volunteer as many or as few and you can. No experience is necessary.  We’ll show you how to use a simple register.  Other than that you fluff the shop and talk to visitors.  We typically share information about local places to dine; to rent kayaks or provide suggestions for great hikes-all the information  is at your fingertips.
